we promise to spend all the money you give us on securing a physical space for our diverse communities.

while carving out space for us to get organised and get creative in Nipaluna (Hobart), we get to bring you along by sharing stories, interviews, music, poems and more from the ground in Nipaluna, the Country that holds us today and has held the oldest continuous culture in the world; the Muwinina people lived here, and now the Palawa. We are fortunate to have their guidance, as their cultural flame continues to burn.
the work we do is never separate from striving for truth-telling and solidarity with all across the globe. the struggles are shared, they are real and they are old; the tactics we employ have been tried and tested by many who have come before us.
we know it in our bones too, that the antidote to colonialism, division and fear-based thinking, comes from connection to people and place, and deeply rooting ourselves in valuing, practicing and pursuing justice in solidarity-based work.
decolonisation, ecological and social justice, anti-repression, anti-capitalism, mutual aid, anti-fascism, abolition, reduction of AOD harms, community building, and pluralism, are key principles in our work.
L.A.M.A. represents a moment in time of radical action towards community independence and resilience, within the institutional and cultural bounds of a society that isolates us at every opportunity.
the Lutruwita Activist and Mutual Aid Collective is the soil from which a thriving grassroots network can grow.
